11:00 – This Sunday is Mother’s Day, the day when we acknowledge just how much our moms do for us. Nobody knows this better than author Anne Walsh, who interviewed more than 50 mothers for her book “Out of the Mouths of Moms: From the Trenches of Motherhood.” Walsh says mothers tend to build up unrealistic expectations for themselves, and can feel inadequate and guilty if they don’t live up to them. By sharing the struggles of mothers from all walks of life, Walsh hopes to help end the alienation some mothers face when they don’t want to admit how difficult their job really is. She joins John now to discuss the difficulties mothers face and how we should celebrate them on Mother’s Day.
