11:30 – If anyone knows the appeal of used bookstores it’s Ralph Crawford, owner of Crawford’s Used Books in Perdue, Sask. Crawford’s store, which he has operated solo since 2004, was recently described my Maclean’s as “Canada’s most inconvenient bookstore” due to its out-of-the way location, his choice to sacrifice organization for more books on the shelves (he has about 300,000 volumes), and his old-school policies like only accepting cash or cheques as payment. Crawford joins John now to talk about his shop and the endless appeal of the used bookstore.
