8:30 – Calling her secret recording of Michael Wernick “unconscionable,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau kicked Jody Wilson-Raybould out of the Liberal caucus Tuesday evening. He also kicked out Jane Philpott, who had resigned her cabinet post during the height of the SNC-Lavalin affair. So what happens now? Will kicking them out of the party help Trudeau as he heads into the next election, or does it put forward the appearance that he fires anyone who won’t toe the line? Will JWR and Philpott run as independent MPs, or will they join other parties? To help analyze the move, John is joined by National Post/Postmedia columnist Kelly McParland.
