RCMP in the Battlefords closed several roads Thursday evening to deal with an incident.
Highway 4 is closed between Battleford and 10 kilometres south of Battlefords.
In a media release, RCMP said the area is restricted until they have the situation under control.
One person who was driving south of Battleford at around 8:40 p.m. witnessed police pursuing a vehicle.
She said she was driving up the hill and saw a van coming towards them with no lights, just sparks from the rims. She pulled over as is passed by at about 20 km/h.
“The windows were missing and the door was missing,” she said. “I was shocked.”
Once the area is safe, police said they will notify the public.
