February started out with bitterly cold temperatures and it looks like it’s going to end that way, too.
A large portion of southern and central Saskatchewan was back under an extreme cold warning on Sunday.
“As we get into Tuesday, at least the extreme cold warning will be lifted,” said Robyn Dyck, meteorologist with Environment Canada. “Into Tuesday, we should be feeling a bit better, so into the afternoon, Tuesday, it should be warming up.
Until then, daily highs won’t rise above the -20c mark for Saskatoon.
The windchill will be in the -40c range.
On Sunday afternoon, the warnings covered most of central and southern Saskatchewan, including Saskatoon and Regina.
