8:30 – The sentencing hearing for Jaskirat Singh Sidhu, the driver involved in the Humboldt Broncos tragedy, gets underway this morning in Melfort. Scott Thomas, the father of deceased player Evan Thomas, has said all he wanted from Sidhu was an admission of guilt, and he’ll be attending the sentencing. He join Drew now.

11:00 – Saskatchewan-born NHL player Jaden Schwartz, of the St. Louis Blues, helped save the life of a woman with leukemia. After his sister Mandi Schwartz died of the disease in 2011 at age 23, the Schwartz family set up bone marrow donation registries at Blues games through a group called “Be the Match.” Blues fan Michael Hellrich signed up as a donor, and was matched with Alabama leukemia patient Regan Brown. Hellrich met with Brown along with members of the Schwartz family in an emotional viral video. Hellrich and Brown both join Drew now to discuss the emotional moment and the importance of marrow donation.

Sidhu has pleaded guilty to 16 counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death in connection with the Humboldt Broncos bus crash April 6.
