A Humboldt Bronco left permanently injured after the team’s April 6 bus crash is back on skates.
Layne Matechuk suffered a major brain injury in the collision, which killed 16 people and left 13 injured.
Matechuk got out of hospital in October and has been working on rehabilitation ever since.
Kevin Matechuk, Layne’s father, posted a pair of videos to Twitter on Tuesday showing his son taking his first strides on skates at a rink near his hometown of Colonsay.
