Woman charged with 2nd-degree murder in Pelican Lake death

RCMP have charged 24-year-old Donya Hope Lewis with second-degree murder in the death of Nathan James Bill.

Spiritwood RCMP officers responded to a call about an altercation at a home in Pelican Lake First Nation on Monday.

When they arrived Bill, 39, was dead and Lewis had minor injuries.

According to RCMP, they were in a relationship.

An autopsy is scheduled to take place in Saskatoon on Tuesday.

Lewis is expected to make her next court appearance on February 12 in Spiritwood Provincial Court.
