After a weekend of unseasonable warmth, people in Saskatchewan may want to dig out the warm scarves and gloves again thanks to a bitterly cold wind.
Between Regina and Saskatoon, Environment Canada is measuring wind gusts between 50 and 70 kilometres an hour with wind chill values around -30 C.
Despite a bit of light snow blowing around, most highways were only reporting winter driving conditions and many were completely clear early Tuesday morning. Some areas were reporting icy or slippery sections along with drifting snow.
Check the Highway Hotline for updates on road conditions.
The good news is the wind is expected to ease off later Tuesday and the forecast calls for a swing back to normal or above normal temperatures for the next several days.
