A Saskatoon massage therapist has been sentenced to three years in prison following a conviction on his first of over a dozen charges of sexual assault.
A judge sentenced Mark Donlevy Thursday in relation to his Sept. 27 conviction for raping a woman in 2004, after the two had gone on a first date.
Donlevy was first charged in December 2016 with two counts of sexual assault. Both those charges stemmed from complaints made by women who had been clients at his home-based massage business.
More women filed complaints with police following the initial charges, those resulted in an additional 12 counts of sexual assault against Donlevy.
The most recent charge against Donlevy was filed on Nov. 5. That case remains in the early stages of the court process.
Donlevy is due to go to trial on 11 more charges in February 2019.
