A Saskatoon taxi company is defending one if its drivers after a video made it to social media showing a snow brush-wielding cabbie apparently chasing after a passenger.
The video was posted around early Monday on a Facebook account under the name Dakota Tirks.
It shows a woman cursing as a taxi driver rushes towards her and swings a snow brush.

Comfort Cab manager Shondra Boire appeared Tuesday morning on Gormley to discuss the incident.
She said company management reviewed dashcam footage after the initial complaint came in. She said that video showed the passenger making abusive and racist remarks throughout the entire cab ride from the Briarwood neighbourhood to Nutana.
“Essentially, he did his job very well throughout the whole trip, was provoked throughout and kind of just reached his breaking point at the end,” she said.
Boire said the incident highlights the difficulties cab drivers can face on the job with rude or aggressive customers.
“There was no reason that this driver deserved to be disrespected and be put in a position that obviously has scarred him as well.”
While initial reports had suggested the driver was going to be suspended pending further investigation of the incident, Boire said the he’d be back on the job in light of the dashcam footage.
“He wasn’t sure even if he wanted to go back driving just given the circumstances, but he will be back driving this evening,” she said.
The company also posted to Facebook Monday with a statement defending the driver.
