A fire in Saskatoon’s King George neighbourhood early Sunday morning has left a home with around $40,000 in damage.
The Saskatoon Fire Department said crews were called to a house at 824 Avenue M South around 1:45 a.m.
When firefighters arrived, they found smoke billowing from the bungalow’s eves.
Once inside, firefighters discovered the blaze had started in the basement.
No one was inside the home at the time of the fire, and no was hurt.
The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
