Saskatoon residents should be on the lookout for a person trying to get into homes to inspect water meters.
Police say the person shows identification from HomeSecur saying they’re working for the City of Saskatoon. The problem is this company is not working on behalf of the City.
The City’s customer service centre received a phone call from a concerned resident who refused to allow entry to this person.
The City says if it does need access to your water meter they will attempt to make an appointment or have City of Saskatoon identification and a marked City of Saskatoon van.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300.
