One man is dead after shots were fired on the Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation.
RCMP say they were called around 10 a.m. that shots had been fired near the health centre on the First Nation.
Mounties say a man wearing camouflage was spotted riding away from the scene on an ATV. However, RCMP say they haven’t confirmed whether or not the man is connected to the shooting.
One man was killed, but haven’t released the man’s age or identity.
Since the initial report at 10 a.m., RCMP say no other shots have been reported. However, RCMP are still looking for the suspect.
Mounties are asking people on the First Nation to stay at their homes.
