Gordon and Jill Rawlinson, the owners of Rawlco Radio, are donating $250,000 to help build a new emergency centre at Royal University Hospital (RUH).
When it opens next year, the new emergency room will be two-and-a-half times larger than the current facility.
Rawlco Radio President Pam Leyland said there is nothing more important in times of emergency than to give patients, families and doctors the best possible facilities.
The emergency room at RUH is the busiest in Saskatchewan. It was designed 40 years ago to handle about a third of the patients it now deals with annually.
