I’m making an assumption when I say this, but I believe that CFL commissioner Randy Ambrosie is very popular with football fans across the country.
The combination of business knowledge and being a former player gives this league a leader who understands both the finances and the quality of the athletes in this league.
He has achieved a lot in his short time as commissioner.
One of the many things on my wish list for this league is to make the CFL draft more of an event.
Right now, the draft is a made-for-television event. It should be televised. I would also like to see something similar to CFL Week happen around the draft. Have the nine GM’s meet in a CFL city with some other fan-interactive activities in conjunction with player selections.
I understand that certain logistics would need to be worked out. However, a fan-friendly draft would engage ticket buyers just weeks before the start of the season.
