Saskatoon has now seen its seventh armed robberies in six days following two calls Saturday.
The first came just after 3 p.m. at NorDon Drugs & Medical Ltd on Isabella Street East.
Police said the two suspects were armed with a gun and a knife. They demanded cash and merchandise from the staff before fleeing the scene on foot.
Witnesses reported seeing a dark blue SUV driving erratically in the area at around the same time, but it’s not clear if the vehicle is linked to the robbery.
Then at 10:25 p.m., a man entered a business in the 2100 block of 22nd Street West and demanded cash. He fled on foot with the money.
In both cases, the police dog unit could not track down the men.
There have been roughly a dozen armed robberies in Saskatoon since the beginning of October. In most cases, robbers targeted convenience stores and drug stores.
Members of the public are encouraged to call in tips to 306-975-8300, or through Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
