Saskatchewan RCMP have issued a warrant for the arrest of 21-year-old man after a violent truck theft over the weekend.
Trenton Laliberty of Denare Beach is facing several charges, including aggravated assault, forcible confinement, theft and weapons counts for his alleged involvement.
Creighton RCMP got a call shortly after noon Saturday about an assault at a home in Denare Beach, located about 20 kilometres southwest of Flin Flon near the Saskatchewan-Manitoba border.
According to police, a man found inside the home was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A black 2013 Ford F150 Supercab with Saskatchewan licence 868 JPH and two firearms were also reported missing from the home.
RCMP said they do not believe this was a random incident. As a result of investigation, Laliberty and two youths have been charged.
Laliberty is described as six feet tall, weighing 200 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. He has the word “LIVE” tattooed across his right knuckles, along with the word “LIFE” across his left knuckles and a cross on his right wrist.
A 14-year-old is charged with aggravated assault, forcible confinement, theft under $5,000, mischief and breaching court orders.
A 15-year-old faces one count each of aggravated assault and forcible confinement.
The two boys cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
RCMP ask people not to approach these individuals as they are possibly armed and considered dangerous.
RCMP also ask the public not to approach the black F150 truck with Saskatchewan licence plate 868 JPH, and instead report it to police immediately if spotted.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
