9:30 a.m. In the aftermath of the Gerald Stanley trial, there was an immediate outcry for more to be done to fix a justice system that many believe continues to fail Indigenous peoples in Canada. However, those working within the legal community are cautioning against rushing to conclusions without considering what’s at stake. Defence lawyer James Korpan joins Murray to discuss.

10:00 a.m. President Donald Trump is taking another swing at Canada, wrongly claiming that the U.S. loses money on trade with Canada. This comes after the Whitehouse released an economic report, signed by President Trump, saying that the U.S. has a trade surplus with Canada. Simon Lester is a trade policy analyst with the Cato Institute and he joins Murray now from Washington to discuss.

11:00 a.m. While the focus is often on bullying between kids, bullying among adults is a problem too. Just last month, an investigation by the Workers’ Compensation Board found that a Saskatchewan man’s suicide was the result of the bullying and harassment he experienced at work. Aida Thorisdottir is a grad student at the University of Regina and she joins Murray now to discuss the consequences of adult bullying and what people can do if they’re being bullied.

12:00 p.m. The Saskatchewan government is surveying residents on how long-term care homes are performing across the province in order to make improvements and fit the needs of an aging population. Lilian Thorpe is a geriatric psychiatrist with the Saskatoon Health Region and she joins Murray to discuss what needs to be done to improve long-term care in Saskatchewan.
