I think it’s safe to say the fact he’s in the Maritimes shows his desire to see a 10th team in this league.
Regina’s Gary Drummond and former Arizona Coyotes stakeholder Anthony LeBlanc are part of a potential ownership group.
Ambrosie continues to impress as the face of this league. He engaged the fans when he asked for a show of hands to see if people would like to see the CFL season bumped up a few weeks — 80 per cent were for that by the way.
He wants input from all Canadians. He then told the crowd it’s easier to build a relationship with people when he is in the same room.
That is a perfect approach for a fan-driven league.
Since 1984, the CFL has gone through 13 commissioners, one every 2.75 years. Owners would be wise to ensure Ambrosie is around for a lot longer than that.
