A person has died following a crash Wednesday afternoon between a truck and a car on Highway 16.
RCMP said a half-ton truck travelling eastbound on Highway 16 hit a car travelling south on Range Road 3280 just east of Lloydminster.
A passenger in the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the truck also suffered non-life threatening injuries.
RCMP had traffic restricted around the crash for about 8 hours as a collision analyst worked at the scene.
Police said the crash remained under investigation early Thursday morning and did not provide any information on whether any charges were pending.
