An extreme cold weather warning is in effect for many of Saskatchewan’s northern and central regions.
Uranium City, Fond-du-Lac, Stony Rapids along with the Cree Lake and Key Lake regions are all affected by the weather warnings.
Environment Canada issued the warnings Thursday afternoon as wind chill temperatures are expected to dip to -50 overnight.
The warnings have since expanded to regions as far south as Prince Albert and Melfort.
The warnings are expected to last until Saturday when warmer temperatures return.
People are reminded to dress warmly, wear extra layers and have a wind resistant outer layer.
