A man and woman in Regina are facing charges after police seized drugs and weapons from a home and vehicle on Saturday.
Officers first spotted what they call a “viable suspect of drug trafficking activity” around 2 p.m. Saturday. The suspect appeared to be trafficking drugs at the time.
Police stopped a vehicle the suspect was traveling in and found marijuana, methamphetamine, amphetamine, cash, pepper spray, an extendable baton, and “multiple bladed weapons”.
Police then executed a search warrant at a home on the 1100 block of Princess Street around 2:30 p.m. Police found 36.73 grams of methamphetamine, 8.06 grams of cocaine, marijuana, amphetamine, and some unknown pills. Officers also found cell phones, six firearms, ammunition, a crossbow, swords, a hatchet, packaging and tools for drug trafficking, and a stolen bicycle.
Joshua Luke Wasacase, 25, and 21-year-old Jazmin S. Amyotte are both facing drug and weapon-related charges.
