A landowner near Kamsack made a disturbing discovery Monday when he found a man in a car who had been dead for 10 days.
Mounties say the vehicle had been reported stolen from Kamsack on Aug 15.
According to RCMP, the man had tried to drive the stolen car through the field until he came to a dry ravine and ended up crashing into the ravine wall. They believe the car had been in the field for about 10 days before it was found.
Police didn’t know who the driver was, and had no missing persons reports matching his description. An autopsy on Thursday determined he was a 22-year-old man from the Keeseecoose First Nation.
The RCMP won’t be releasing his name, and say they don’t believe anyone else was involved in the death.
