Gas thefts, shoplifting and stolen cars reported to Regina police over the last few months have added up to 30 charges against a pair.
Police found a man and a woman on Friday night at the 2000 block of Angus Street in a Ford Taurus believed to be stolen. They were arrested.
With the two in custody, officers looked at other reported crimes that had similar circumstances and descriptions of the suspects and vehicle. They date back to June and are detailed in the map below.
Charges were laid in these incidents against 30-year-old Alex Todd Desjarlais and 24-year-old Samantha Marlene Kakakaway.
Desjarlais faces the bulk of the charges, including breach of undertaking, theft, assault, possession of a weapon as well as stolen property. He appeared in court on Monday.
Kakakaway’s charges are for possession of stolen property, theft and breach of probation. She is to appear in court on Sept. 29.
