Saskatoon is not going far for its new top cop.
Prince Albert Police Chief Troy Cooper will be introduced Wednesday as the city’s new police chief, sources have confirmed to 650 CKOM.
The 52-year-old has been the chief of police in Prince Albert since 2012, and replaces Clive Weighill — who announced his retirement last fall after 11 years at the helm.
Cooper will formally be introduced by the Saskatoon board of police commissioners during a news conference at 1:30 p.m.
