People in Saskatoon looking to grab a book to curl up with ahead of what’s expected to be a frigid weekend won’t be able to go to the downtown library branch Friday.
The Frances Morrison Central Library was shut down for the day after a water main break in front of the building on 23rd Street.
Staff said the break forced the library to turn off their water, which meant a boiler heating the building also had to be deactivated.
Library leadership decided it would be best to close the location for everyone’s safety.
Saskatoon Public Library confirmed just before 5 p.m. they would re-open the branch on Saturday at 10 a.m.
