The tournament has raised over $30,000 for various charities and other causes throughout Saskatoon.
After a cold snap blanketed Saskatchewan to end 2017, we’re seeing well above seasonal conditions.
“It’s going to be relatively mild out there, so just enjoy that weather,” Environment Canada Meteorologist Mike Russo said about the warm-up.
According to Environment Canada, temperatures around freezing is expected Sunday for this time of year the normal high sits between -10 C and -12 C.
Russo warns the conditions likely won’t stick around for long.
“A system that’s tracking across the central portions of the province some Tuesday giving some snow,” Russo said. “Maybe even see some snowfall warnings out for areas like Prince Albert and Meadow Lake.”
Based on models Sunday morning Russo expects ten to 15 centimetres of snow could fall Tuesday.
A cool down is set to start midweek with Environment Canada forecasts showing highs of -20 C in Saskatoon Thursday.
The coldest day for Regina is expected to be Friday with a high of -18 C.
