More adult players are now investing in the protective equipment.
The Saskatoon Blades extended their win streak Saturday with a 4-2 win over the Kootenay Ice at SaskTel Centre.
Gage Ramsay recorded two first period goals to set up the Blades early in the game.
A goal from Josh Paterson late in the first gave Saskatoon a commanding 3-0 lead heading into the second period.
Cameron Hebig got his 30th goal of the season 8:33 into the third period with help from Ramsay.

The Ice would score twice in the third, but it wasn’t enough.
Sunday the Blades try to keep the streak alive when they visit the Wheat Kings in Brandon.
