The Saskatoon Ex is opening with a parade on Tuesday morning.
The fair opens at 3 p.m. with Marianas Trench hitting the grandstand at 8:30 p.m. for a free show with ex admission.
Fresh off their Juno wins this spring, the Canadian band Magic will be at the Saskatoon Ex on Wednesday. Hedley will play on Thursday, followed by Dean Brody on Friday, Burton Cummings and Band on Saturday and Sons of the Pioneer on Sunday.
The gate opens at 7 p.m. for grandstand shows. The Crash and Bash Demo Derby takes place on Sunday as well.
North American Midway has brought the Blitzer, which is the first roller-coaster at the Saskatoon Ex.
“That ride is up and ready to go,” Carl Schlosser, director of events with Prairieland Park, said.
Every evening ends with fireworks at 11 p.m. The Saskatoon Ex runs Aug. 4 to 9.
