Murray Wood says big sporting events sometimes present an issue for viewers who kind of want both teams to lose.
City councillors are set to vote Monday on whether to restrict the times of day people can use backyard fire pits in Saskatoon.
The vote comes after the city’s planning, development and community services committee voted Dec. 5 in favour of limiting backyard fires to the hours between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m.
At that time, the committee voted against banning fire pits in new neighbourhoods. The committee also rejected a proposal to require people to get permits in order to have fires.
Monday’s full city council meeting starts at 1 p.m. at Saskatoon City Hall. The full agenda is available online.
