A home on the Red Earth First Nation is now the scene of a homicide investigation after police found a man’s body Saturday.
Carrot River RCMP detachment got a call about an injured man at the home around 11:20 a.m. When they arrived, they discovered the body of a 42-year-old man.
A 16-year-old boy and 20-year-old man were arrested that afternoon at two residences on the First Nation.
The RCMP Major Crime Unit – South, Tisdale and Prince Albert Forensic Identification Section, Regina and Yorkton General Investigation Sections, Nipawin RCMP and the Office of the Chief Coroner are all assisting the Carrot River RCMP with the case.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, July 27 at the Saskatoon City Hospital.
RCMP said no names will be released at this time as charges have not been laid and the case is still under investigation.
The Red Earth First Nation, which is part of the Prince Albert Grand Council, is just over 200 km northeast of Prince Albert.
