An 89-year-old woman has died after being hit by a car while crossing a south Saskatoon street.
Saskatoon police said the woman was walking across Preston Avenue South near East Drive when a southbound car struck her.
She later died of her injuries.
Police said a 71-year-old Saskatoon man was driving the vehicle, but there was no information on any pending charges.
After about three hours police wrapped up an on-scene investigation and lifted traffic restrictions by 10:30 p.m.
