A young man from the Cote First Nation has pleaded guilty to three charges related to the death of another man earlier this month.
A group was spotted driving an ATV erratically in Kamsack in the early morning hours of July 1. The ATV was stolen from a quonset in Madge Lake.
The night of the theft, Kaylon Tourngeau-Genaille flagged down an off-duty RCMP officer, who first reported the ATV, to say one of the passengers had been injured.
Brandon Cote died on the scene, and Tourngeau-Genaille was charged with dangerous driving causing death, break and enter, theft of a motor vehicle, theft under $5,000, and possession of stolen property over $5,000.
On Wednesday, Tourngeau-Genaille pleaded guilty to the dangerous driving, break and enter, and possession of stolen property.
He will be sentenced in Canora on Sept. 22.
