Months after discovering a man’s body in a park near downtown Red Deer, RCMP need help to figure out who he is.
“It’s a sad situation, as we know someone somewhere cares about this man,” Staff Sgt. Rob Marsollier of the Red Deer RCMP said in a media release Monday.
The man is described as Caucasian, between 30 and 45 years old, five feet six inches tall, weighing 143 pounds.
According to police, he has brown hair, a scar on his right cheek and a chipped tooth.
When the body was discovered on Aug. 7 he had three t-shirts on in layers white, black and red, blue jeans, black socks, shoes a leather belt and black sunglasses.
Police have tried to identify the body through fingerprints, medical records, missing person reports and contacting other police detachments but nothing has worked.
On Monday RCMP put out a call for help.
“We’re asking the public to share this widely and help police in our attempts to notify his loved ones of his death in a respectful manner,” Marsollier said.
