City was on schedule to reopen on Dec. 13, and now has to remove the ice again.
A set of stolen military medals will be returned to their owner.
The cluster of nine medals was stolen from the home of a British Army veteran living in Kindersley after a break-in sometime over the weekend of Oct. 21-23.
The medals commemorated the veteran’s service in a number of conflicts, including the Persian Gulf War, the Iraq War, the Bosnian War and Northern Ireland conflict.
Kindersley RCMP reported Friday the medals were turned in at their detachment headquarters.
The medals were reportedly stolen alongside other household items and various other pieces of war memorabilia. Police said the investigation into the break-in remained ongoing.
