The Vancouver Giants doubled the Saskatoon Blades 6-3 at Sask Tel Centre on Wednesday night.
Blades forward Cameron Hebig tied the game at 1-1 with his sixth goal of the season late in first period. The home side took a 2-1 lead 21 seconds into the middle frame when Libor Hajek scored his third goal of the season.
The Giants dominated play later in the second period. Brendan Semchuk scored the first of two goals fourteen seconds later to tie the game. Tyler Popowich gave Vancouver a 3-2 lead before James Malm scored what proved to the game winner at the 6:58 mark of the second period.
Milos Roman and Owen Hardy had the other Giants goals. Hebig scored twice for Saskatoon, and now has seven goals on the season.
The Blades (3-6) visit Prince Albert on Saturday, then return home Tuesday to host Victoria at 7:05 p.m. at Sask-Tel Centre.
