As of 10 p.m. the chief administrative officer and director of emergency preparedness in Kindersley, Bernie Morton said the fires near Leader are under control.
Earlier the towns of Leader, Burstall and the RM of Deerfork were all under evacuation due to a massive grass fire.
“There’s no immediate threat to the Kindersley community at all, there are a number of fire departments that are out,” Morton said. “About 14 families that we have (at the evacuation centre) the eldest is 95 the youngest is two also some dog and some cats.”
Morton went on to say that it was suggested by the province that people will be able to return to their home as of Wednesday morning.

As of 11 p.m. the town of Tompkins was on evacuation stand by as fire crews battle a fire between the town and Gull Lake.
In Saskatoon, fire crews are busy fighting a fire south east of the city. The fire is in the area of Highway 11 and Melsness Road.
Saskatoon fire battalion Chief Len Protz said they’ve got the upper hand now.
“We feel that it’s no longer threatening to residential building at this time,” Protz said.
Wind still a major issue
A wind warning remains in place for most of central and southern Saskatchewan.
Around 10:30 p.m. Environment Canada had wind in Moose Jaw recorded at 131 kilometres per-hour.

The wind has also caused wide spread power outages. SaskPower tweeted saying that some communities near Leader and Maple Creek might be without power until Wednesday morning.

There are even reports of the wind blowing a roof off in Swift Current.
