Heat warnings continued to blanket most of southern Saskatchewan Sunday while further north Environment Canada has issued severe thunderstorm watches.
From the Alberta boundary to Manitoba heat warnings are in place including in Regina, Swift Current and Shaunavon.
It means temperatures are expected to hover are the 30C mark through the day and not cool down past about 15 degrees overnight.
Environment Canada is urging people to look out for signs of heat stroke and drink lots of water.
The warning also extends to the Pelican Narrows, Melfort, and Hudson Bay areas.
Severe thunderstorm watch
Sunday morning Environment Canada issued severe thunderstorm watches for the city of Saskatoon as well as Cree Lake, Key Lake, Île à la Crosse, Buffalo Narrows, Beauval, La Loche and Clearwater River Provincial Park.
While a storm isn’t imminent conditions are right for one to develop.
It could bring hail, strong wind and heavy downpour.
The watch is expected to be lifted once the system passes late Sunday afternoon.
