Tisdale RCMP has charged a 53-year-old man with attempted murder in an incident that sent his wife to hospital.
Around 9 a.m. Saturday officers were called to a residence in the Tisdale area and spoke to a 70-year-old woman who said her husband got upset and attacked her.
She was taken to the hospital and treated for undisclosed injuries and has since been released.
The man turned himself into police and is charged with one count of attempted murder, one count of aggravated assault, one count of choking to overcome resistance and one count of uttering threats.
He’s set to appear in court Aug. 1.
