A 71-year-old Saskatoon man is dead after being hit by a pickup truck Wednesday evening in the Mount Royal area.
According to police, the driver of a Dodge Ram truck stopped at the intersection of 23rd Street West and Avenue T North around 5 p.m.
The driver, a 47-year-old man, then drove west through the intersection and hit the 71-year-old who was walking across 23rd Street North.
He was taken to Royal University Hospital by MD Ambulance where he died of his injuries.
As the investigation continues police have not decided whether charges will be laid against the driver.
Road restriction in place following the collision were lifted Wednesday evening.
