Three people are facing charges of robbery and assault after an armed break-and-enter on Friday.
Police were called to the 1500 block of Shannon Crescent in the city’s Holliston Neighbourhood just before noon “after it was reported three men entered a home armed with a firearm and unlawfully confined a woman.”

Police said three men were fleeing from the home as officers arrived, and all three were arrested.
“The 21-year-old female victim was not physically injured as a result,” police said.
The three men – ages 18, 19 and 25 – are each facing charges of assault with a weapon, robbery, unlawful confinement, break and enter, and wearing a disguise with intent.
“This incident is not believed to be random,” the police force noted.
Man arrested after break-in on Miyowahkohtowin Road
A 34-year-old man is facing charges in connection to a break-in and attempted robbery in Confederation Park.
Police said officers were called to the 3800 block of Miyowahkohtowin Road at around 2 p.m. on Friday afternoon after getting a report that a man had entered a home and tried to steal bicycles.
“A resident confronted the male who then grabbed a nearby knife in a threatening manner,” police said.
“He eventually fled the residence and was located by police in the backyard of a residence in the 3800 block of 33rd Street West.”
The man is now charged with break and enter and robbery, along with assault with a weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon.
Gunshot reported in Pleasant Hill
Police responded to a report of a gunshot at around 11:40 p.m. on Saturday in the 100 block of Avenue S South, in the city’s Pleasant Hill neighbourhood.
“Upon arrival, they located evidence that a firearm had been discharged at a residence,” police said.
“The home was occupied at the time however no one was injured.”
Anyone with information that could help the investigation was asked to contact police or make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers.
Man and woman arrested after police chase
A 35-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man are facing charges after allegedly fleeing from police in a Mercedes Benz SUV on Sunday, hitting a fire hydrant in the process.
According to police, officers were called to the 10 block of Sturby Place in Saskatoon’s Eastview neighbourhood at around 4:15 a.m. after getting a report that someone was trying to steal a dirt bike before taking off in the SUV.
“Patrol officers located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop however the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed,” the police force explained in a statement.
“Officers observed the driver travel through a stop sign before striking a fire hydrant. The occupants exited the vehicle, and with the assistance of the SPS Air Support Unit, were located by patrol officers and taken into custody.”
The woman is now facing charges of dangerous driving, evading police, possession of methamphetamine and breaching court-imposed conditions. The man is facing charges of theft over $5,000 and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
