A man was hospitalized after a shooting in Saskatoon’s Pleasant Hill neighbourhood on Thursday night.
According to police, officers were called to the 100 block of Avenue U South for a report of an injured person at around 8 p.m.

“Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound outside an apartment building,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement.
The victim was taken to a local hospital by paramedics for treatment, and police said his injuries were not believed to be life threatening.
“It is unknown if the suspect(s) and victim were known to one another,” the police force added.
“Members of the Serious Assault Unit are continuing to investigate.”
Officers assaulted while responding to domestic disturbance
Two police officers were allegedly attacked by a 15-year-old boy while they were responding to a domestic disturbance on Thursday night in College Park.
The police force said officers were called to the 70 block of Ramsay Court for a domestic disturbance in progress just before 11 p.m.
“Upon arrival, officers observed a youth male being restrained on the ground,” the police service said in a statement.
“As officers attempted to gain compliance from the male, he actively resisted their efforts; kicking and kneeing officers multiple times. Following a brief struggle, the male was arrested.”
Police said the boy is now facing two charges of assaulting a police officer.
Teen girl facing assault charge after Riversdale stabbing
A 17-year-old girl was charged with aggravated assault after a stabbing in Saskatoon on Thursday.
Police were called to 20th Street West and Avenue D South in the city’s Riversdale neighbourhood just after 7 a.m., where they found a male victim suffering from “multiple stab wounds.”
He was taken to hospital by paramedics, and police noted that his injuries were not believed to be life threatening.
“Further investigation determined that the stabbing had occurred in an apartment building in the 200 block of Avenue D South,” the police service said.
About 40 minutes later, police said officers were called to 22nd Street West for another report of an injured person.
“Arriving officers located a youth female with an injury to her hand,” police said in a statement. “Through continued investigation, officers determined that the youth female was also the suspect in the earlier stabbing.”
