A 35-year-old woman from Patuanak was killed on Easter Sunday after she was struck by a vehicle on Highway 11 south of Prince Albert.
According to the RCMP, officers received several reports from the public saying a person was “in the middle” of the southbound lanes of the highway at around 9:15 p.m. on Sunday. Police later got a report saying the pedestrian had been struck by an SUV.

“The pedestrian, identified as a 35-year-old female from Patuanak, SK, was declared deceased at the scene,” the RCMP said in a statement.
“The 65-year-old female driver and an adult female passenger of the SUV, from Saskatoon, did not report any injuries to police.”
Police said part of Highway 11, near the junction with Highway 2, was closed during the investigation. The highway has since been reopened to the public, but the RCMP noted that the crash remains under police investigation.
