Police in Saskatoon seized a trove of items including methamphetamine, swords, a crossbow, tasers and body armour during a drug bust on Friday.
The Saskatoon Police Service said officers raided a home on Fairlight Drive at around 1 a.m. Police said a 44-year-old man ran from the back of the home, but he was “quickly apprehended by an SPS Canine team” and members of the police service’s Tactical Support Unit.

Officers also arrested a 36-year-old woman at the home.
During the search, officers uncovered 78.2 grams of meth and $410 in cash, along with “numerous edged weapons, conducted energy devices, a cross-bow, body armour and ammunition.”
Both the man and woman are facing a number of charges including trafficking in methamphetamine, possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime, and weapons charges.
“The male was also wanted on outstanding warrants and found to be in breach of court conditions,” the police service added.
