“Upon arrival, officers learned that an altercation had taken place between parties known to one another before one of the involved parties sped away in a vehicle, striking the other involved party while doing so,” the Saskatoon Police Service explained in a statement.
“The victim was transported to hospital by Medavie Health Serves West for treatment of what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.”
An investigation into the alleged hit-and-run led officers to the 100 block of Hedley Street, where they arrested the 28-year-old. He’s now facing a charge of failing to remain on the scene of an accident causing bodily harm.
