An attack on an often busy road Monday evening resulted in serious charges for a group of teenagers in Regina.
Regina Police Service (RPS) said in a news release on March 4 that officers were called to the 2900 block of Gordon Road, just south of Albert St. S., around 6:20 p.m. on March 3 after being told two people had been attacked with a “bladed weapon” before the attackers ran off.

The victims had knife wounds when they were found and were taken to hospital, and police said their injuries were “serious, but non-life threatening”.
Someone who had witnessed what happened gave descriptions of the suspects to police and a short time later five people were located by officers. The next morning a sixth suspect was found by police.
Four teenagers were ultimately charged with two counts of attempted murder each — a 16-year-old, two 15-year-olds, and a 14-year-old.
The 14-year-old was also charged with failing to comply with a disposition and the 16-year-old is charged with two counts of failing to comply with a disposition, and three counts of failing to comply with the conditions of a release order.
None of the teens can be named according to Youth Criminal Justice Act.
