As Saskatoon welcomes warmer temperatures, the snow is melting and City of Saskatoon crews are proactively clearing snow and ice from priority drainage routes and known flooding areas.
The city said in a news release on Saturday that while some temporary pooling is expected in many areas, crews are prepared to respond as needed.

The city said people who notice significant pooling can help by clearing drains and blocked catch basins if it is safe to do so. If the issue persists, people can report the issue at 306-975-2476 or online at customercare@saskatoon.ca.
City-wide residential and industrial street clearing is now complete, the release said, adding that a few streets still need additional work.
These streets will be inspected and may need posted parking restrictions for thorough grading and localized snow removal may also be necessary, it said.
Small ridges of snow left behind after grading can impact driveway access and the city said in most cases, vehicles can back over them.
Crews will not return to clear these, but they will revisit and inspect locations where ridges are high enough to block driveway access for light vehicles, according to the city.
For double or triple driveways, snow piles may have reduced available driveway width but access for at least one car width has been maintained, it said.
