The police service said officers spotted a man walking in a nearby parking lot with bottles of liquor inside his jacket pockets a short time later. But when he was confronted by the officers, the man ran into a nearby drug store.
“The suspect made advancements towards officers, wielding a metal baton,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement.
“A conducted energy weapon (CEW) was successfully deployed and the suspect was arrested without further incident. On his person, Police located a concealed knife and screw driver, along with additional stolen liquor.”

Police said officers later caught up with the third suspect while she was trying to enter an apartment on Seventh Street East. At the time of her arrest, police said she was carrying a concealed knife and stolen liquor, and was found to be wanted on outstanding warrants.
“Following her arrest, the female reported having recently ingested a potentially fatal amount of illicit drugs,” the police service said. “Officers administered naloxone prior to the arrival of paramedics. She was medically assessed and cleared on site before being transported to detention.”
