A 31-year-old Swift Current woman has been charged with drug trafficking after cocaine was seized in Swift Current last week.
Saskatchewan RCMP said in a Feb. 17 news release that officers with the RCMP’s Swift Current Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team, Swift Current municipal and rural detachments, and Police Dog Services executed a search warrant at a home on the 1100 block of Winnie Street East on Feb. 12 as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

One woman was arrested at the home, police said, while RCMP officers found and arrested two other women in a vehicle at a business on 6th Avenue Northeast and South Service Road. The women in the vehicle were later released without charges, RCMP added.
While searching the home and vehicle, police said that officers located and seized approximately 109 grams of powder cocaine, a small amount of methamphetamine and other evidence of drug trafficking.
The woman who was charged with one count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking is scheduled to appear in Swift Current Provincial Court on March 12.
